EDIT - Probably just luck but I installed Ubisoft Connect Launcher from desktop mode, added it as a non steam game and then ran it from game mode under Proton Experimental. Then ran Far Cry 4 and it worked. Restarted the Steam Deck and made sure it still ran and it does. Hope this works for you also.
Method 3: The Ubisoft Connect overlay should be disabled. This has worked to stop Far Cry 6 from crashing.
