Just hit level 80 on Mesmer. Hello guys, as the title implies i've just hit lvl 80 on Mesmer and i'm lost on what to do, gearing wise. My first objective is getting the Skyscale and then going for fractals but i don't know what gear to get. I've alredy got a full zerker with ascended trinkets (returning player) but i know it isn't good for
However, raids are still very accessible due to the lack of a gear treadmill in Guild Wars 2. Most of the challenge does not come from building your character, but rather from experience and knowledge. All you really need is a level 80 character, the relevant expansions, and some exotic gear.

A lot of people come from other MMOs and are worried about "catching up" because those games have a vertical gear progression treadmill that Guild Wars 2 lacks. Marketing a max level boost to reassure those people will result in more sales even if new players actually using the boost is a terrible idea overall.
